Club Registration

Current students of Kolej Fajar are encouraged to join at least 1 club. Club Registration will commence on the 10/8 - 11/8 at Fajar 3 (Courts Mammoth). There are 7 active clubs available in Kolej Fajar for students to join:

1) Martial Arts Club
-
Mixed Martial Arts is all about using any move or technique learned in basically any martial art to defeat an opponent. A major catalyst in the creation of Mixed Martial Arts was the one and only Bruce Lee, who formed his own styles by making use of different styles such as Karate, fencing, boxing, JiuJitsu, wrestling and more to allow him to use what he felt were the best defenses and the best attacks from each martial art. Students learned to borrow moves and techniques from each other to help each other discover what the best and most useful defenses and attacks were.

2) Pilates
-
Both Pilates and yoga focus on the muscles of the arms, legs, abdomen and back. Pilates mat class, which relies more on callisthenic-style exercises and stretches is physically more similar to a yoga class though the emphasis is still on physical change rather than on spiritual development through postures and breathing. Practiced for decades by dancers, who found them a highly effective way to improve body awareness and alignment and promote graceful, fluid motion, has become popular in recent years for its largely aesthetic body sculpting effect. Pilates is the best way to build strength without attaining bulky muscles. Bulky muscles have more tendencies to succumb to injuries. Pilates help in strengthening, lengthening muscles, enhancing muscle elasticity and joint mobility, developing a flat abdomen and a strong back. Within few weeks of practice, you would feel enhancement in your joint mobility, flexibility and following a better posture.Yoga is more about how it makes you feel while Pilates is about how you look -- how you carry yourself and move.

3) Performing Arts Club
-
Offering various workshops, producing concerts and shows with instructors in the Performing Arts, which include Musical performances, Acting, Drama and Singing. Members also have the opportunity to have their say and present their own ideas. The Club itself is non-profit making, and is funded through activities, ticket sales, etc.
